Some people, including many who purport to believe, come up with all sorts of reasons why they don’t go to church. The following prose about sums it up.

1. I was forced to wash as a child and I didn’t like it.
2. People who wash are hypocrites; they think they’re cleaner than everyone else.
3. There are so many different kinds of soap I can’t decide which one to choose.
4. I used to wash but then I got bored so I stopped doing it.
5. I only wash on special occasions, like weddings, Christmas and Easter.
6. None of my friends wash.
7. I reckon I will start washing when I get a bit older – and dirtier!
8. I don’t have time to wash.
9. The bathroom is never the right temperature; it’s never warm enough in the winter or cool enough in the summer.
10. The people who make the soap are only after your money!
